2.22.2019 OPEN 19.1

Warm-up:  When you get to the box follow these steps. (It is important that we keep things running smoothly.)

  1. Sign-up on the whiteboard for the time you want to perform 19.1. The numbers on the board represent the stations where you will complete the workout.  Some stations may be RX only or gender specific.  Pay attention to that possibility.
  2. Fill out a 19.1 score sheet, (they are in the box below the whiteboard).  Place your 19.1 score sheet in the box below the clock so that it is handy when your workout time arrives.
  3. Read over the warm-up that is posted.  You are responsible for warming up on your own for the workout.
  4. We ask that everyone take a turn judging someone’s workout.  You earn 3 points for your team when you judge a workout. Plan on judging a workout before or after you do your workout. If you sign up to workout at 6:00 pm we ask that you judge either a 5 pm or 6:30 pm workout.
  5. When your time comes to complete your workout, make sure the correct wallball and you have everything ready to go. You are responsible for having the correct set-up for your workout.

To SCALE or NOT TO SCALE!!!!!

This may be something that many of you are contemplating as you prepare for this workout.  Answer this simple question……If this same workout was the WOD in the middle of April on a Wednesday afternoon, would you scale it or would you do it as Rx’d?  Please do not scale the workout just to score team points.  Your position on the CrossFit Leader-board is more important.  CrossFit has given most of us a chance to to an Rx’d workout in the OPEN,  that is actually a pretty big deal.  Remember, an Rx’d workout always finishes ahead of a scaled workout.  A big part of the CrossFit OPEN is to challenge yourself and to do this you have to compete against yourself.

Icing:  Judge one of your fellow box mates.  You do not have to be a certified judge to do this.
