Today at 6PM the live announcement of this years 1st CrossFit OPEN workout will take place. You can watch the reveal at the Box or at home. Click on one of these two links to access the reveal. games.crossfit.com or Facebook.
We will set up the gym for the workout once it is announced and we should have a few people who want to do it right away. There is a group from Texas that has scheduled to come in and do the workouts. You are welcome to do yours on Thursday if you wish.
For the most part, we will all do the OPEN workout on Friday. Here is the schedule for the weekend throughout the OPEN.
Friday
6 AM OPEN workout
7 AM OPEN workout
4:30 PM Doors open for warm-up
5:00 PM to ??? OPEN workouts “Friday Night Lights”
Saturday
8 AM OPEN GYM You can complete the OPEN workout at this time.
Sunday
2 PM OPEN workout
Monday
6 AM, 7 AM and 8:15 AM OPEN workout if you could not get done the previous three days.
Here is a rundown on how to score points for your team.
- Complete your bio on your profile page on the games website. (3 pts)
- Put up a profile photo on your profile page. (3 pts)
- Put up a cover photo on your profile page. (3 pts)
- Complete your Stats on your profile page. (14 points possible)
- Complete the Judges Course and post your certificate at the gym (20 pts)
- Complete an OPEN workout. (2 pts)
- Place in the top 3 in your division, either Rx or scaled, male and female. (3 pts, 2 pts and 1 pt)
- Attend “Friday Night Lights” (5 pts)
- Dress in THEME of the WEEK attire. (5 pts)
- Judge an OPEN workout. (3 pts Limit 3/Weekend)
